 no cats are eating seaweed
no cats are at play

not eating...not playing...
not necessarily true
there are just no cats
within human view
 
their waterfront home–
built  by human hand–
does it have tables and chairs?

their waterfront home–
tethered by human hand–
are they all asleep upstairs?

one thing must be absolutely true
cats never ask these questions
about me or you.

      Jetty cats need no reading skills to distinguish
      between seaweed, fish heads,
      and leftover tacos.
