Today, the drums are rolling in the Celestial Community Orchestra

Novelist, poet, graphic artist, sculptor and Nobel Laureate

Gunter Grass plays the drum in Gdansk, his native city.

He was there in celebration of his 80th birthday.

He was born on October 16, 1927

The author of The Tin Drum

died yesterday.
