A Poem Inspired By A Book She Designed

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Joan Crawford

Hollywood emeralds
Black as Thai tea
Tourmaline shine
Out from early eras
Makeup drained
Out to the sea
Back to silken
Wild lives
Now hidden
In history

The photograph of Joan Crawford
is from  this book.

I would not have posted
a truncated image of the cover
if the hyperlink for this
1992 Abrams Book
mentioned the name
of the designer.

Then neither will
mention her name.

But I will tell you:

1. She  wrote the poem above.

2. She is the smarter half
of the GoFather braintrust.
