What Could Have Been My First California Paycheck...

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Had I signed a 1981 contract offer
which was forwarded from
New York to my first home
in Los Angeles.

The apartment had a spectacular view of the world-famous
HOLLYWOOD sign.

Unfortunately, that view was shared with a colony of cockroaches.

Ultimately, both jokes were "shared"
with the readers of the GO/GOOD/
GODFATHER OF MATH pages.

Between receipt of this contract offer and the one I signed with  JR,  I did receive $50 cash
from an African-American comedienne with a Jewish surname (which was not Goldberg!)
for a routine that began:

My father owned a shoe store in Harlem
and my mother was a shoplifter.
It was love at first frisk.
