Benjamin Franklin & The Brignac Sisters

________________________________________________________________________________________________

To the Brignac sisters, Ben Franklin bequeathed
a very small fraction of his estate.

Mr. Franklin called them his dancing bears
and they called him big bad Benny.

Anise had an IQ of 1776.

The inferior intelligence of her sister
was an IQ of only 1492.

Bette wore colonial leggings cut shorter
than had ever been seen in the colonies
and thereby invented hot pants.

Her first lover was a slave named James Brown.

The first postmistress sold more  postage stamps
per hour than any postmaster in the history
of the United States.

“B. Free Franklin” was the postmark,
technically stamped by a slave named James Brown.

After the American Revolution, the Brignac sisters
lived in an ostensibly free society but strict
behavioral guidelines morally
restricted their gender.

However, the word “sub-servient”
was not in the Brignac dictionary.

Anise married Sammy Adams and drove him
so crazy, he had to brew his own beer.

To the descendents of Bette and Anise,
that small fraction of money just kept
getting “improperly”–ha!–
larger and larger.

To be continued upon request
