New Year's Eve: Ten Days After

________________________________________________________________________________________________

I had not been this close
to the Queen Mary since
Lucinda Williams
was there,
six Summers ago.

The QM appeared to be
in a menage a trois
with a colossal
Carnival Cruise Liner and
the Spruced Goose Dome.

But on the last day of 2016,
my Kodak walkathon was curtailed
by Winter sniffles and the exercise
was short-sheeted by two miles.

I had the aborted Saturday morning
Harbor Walking Blues.

I hope these fishermen
caught something better
than a cold.

Footnotes
The Lewis Carroll School of Logic
bids a Primary Welcome to 2017:

It is only the third prime number year
of the Third Millennium.

The other two being
2003 and 2011.

Speaking of the blues,
TEN DAYS AFTER
is dedicated to
Alvin Lee.
