by common faith.

What they have 
in common is
a physical feature:

All members are
six feet six inches
or taller.

There is no crucifix
in the Vertical Church.

There is only
a basketball hoop.

The Pastor's name
is "Coach."

Today's sermon:   
Transcending the D-League

Pews are made of 
splintered wood
because no one 
wants to sit
on the bench.

But there is no ball.
Only hope.
