Poem For A Minnesota Girl From 17-Year Scott Fitzgerald

________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Poet
Under-age
But Over-talented

My mind is all a-tumble
And the letter seems a jumble
for the words they seem to mumble
And my pens about to stumble
and the papers made to jumble
So I sign myself your humble
Servant
Francis Scott Fitzgerald

Footnotes
Both links lead to letters written by Scott
to Elizabeth "Litz" Clarkson

Both September letters are mostly prose
but neither makes reference to  his 17th birthday
(September 24, 1913)
