June 19, 2020 ... A Letter To The President Of The United States

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear PRESIDENT TRUMP

You had the decency
to reschedule your Tulsa Rally
so that it didn't coincide
with Juneteenth, which is today.

Tulsa was the city where
black people were massacred
because of the color
of their skin.

You will be there tomorrow for
a Presidential re-election rally
and it is possible for you
to act truly Presidential
and invite a special guest
for the occasion.

 He was a one-year-old resident
of Tulsa when everything
in the thriving Black community
was burned to the ground.

Three hundred Negroes
were killed that day
but HAL SINGER survived
and is still alive.

Nicknamed "Cornbread"
for one of his song titles,
HAL SINGER
is a tad bit older than
when this photograph
was taken.

Mr. President,
prove that you have
a heart and do
what it takes
to have Mr. Singer
attend your Tulsa rally.

Maybe he can still play
saxophone, so just add
a trumpet for a duet
or have his music
entertain
all the Trumpeteers
at the Trump rally.

Mr. President,
 please honor this survivor
in Tulsa tomorrow.

He survived what
may have been the
most devastating display
of racial supremacy
in American history.

Honor HAL SINGER
in Tulsa to demonstrate
that YOU, our President,
truly believe that the
United States of America
is not a country designed
for only white people.

Sincerely,

Paul Oliverio
