If You Go ...

If you go to

a fortune teller,

I wish you 

the best of luck

 

But

 if you go to

Seven/Eleven

and 

buy a lottery ticket,

you save a lot of time 

and money

 _

If you go to

church/temple/synagogue

and pray for 

a deceased parent,

you are a perfectly 

normal person

and I am jealous

 _

However,

if you have a seance 

with a psychic

or seer

to get in touch 

with

a deceased parent, 

you have my pity

because you would

have the same 

 success rate

as stopping a stranger

on the street 

  and asking for  

   the whereabouts of

     mommy or daddy   

 ::

 

  But 

if you lock yourself

    in a room with a picture

   of that deceased parent

and meditate  on it 

   for hours

...

  

 BINGO

 

Because

that image goes straight

to your soul,

where it has been

for as long as needed

to find it

 

Your soul,

your innermost feelings,

and your heart 

are all you need

to high-five

anyone

who has said

goodbye

to their earthly coil
