Regarding Eternal Gratitude For Two Of The Last Three Pages

________________________________________________________________________________________________

I have public library memories
dating back to 1958
but to no library system
am I more indebted to
than the
of California.

was made possible
by their archival services
that unearthed a volume
of back issues
of Mademoiselle Magazine,
Xeroxing the pages
of Richard Farina's
essay written in
1964.

was made possible
by a brand new copy of
Faith In Fakes
promptly received
via snail mail
three weeks ago.

Within a fortnight,
I will give that book
to LBPL
so that it can be
added to their catalog
for anyone else
to read.

The total cost to me
for these astounding services
is equal to $0.00

Particular gratitude for
staff members
Michael and David
plus their "boss"
at the BJK branch,
Lynda

  1. Unfortunately, The LBPL had to shut down when Covid-19
arrived in the United States but shortly thereafter
    something called LBPL To Go
enabled anyone with a library card.

    1. I remember LBPL To-Go and made
great use of its services before
      the re-opening of all branches
      resulted in its retirement

    2. Pardon my missing hyphen but the funny thing
about LBPL To-Go is that it
      sounded like a hamburger joint.

    3. Very funny but strangely enough,
I now have a sudden need
      to eat something
