The Wonderful + Weird World Of Words ... Boggles The Mind

________________________________________________________________________________________________

To be in love,
to be wed,
et al
you need a betrothal

Throughout your family
this bold word
will be heard:

BETROTHAL

And if
—to you—
it's all the same,
let's reduce it to
a word game

To quote Dr. C.I. Scrabble"
You don't need a goggle
to play Boggle
and you don't need a wig
to think big

And
what is really cool:
I assume you know
the Boggle rule:
—forming subsets of the original word—
the longer and bigger
newly formed words are
the better the chances of victory

****
*****

B-E-T-R-O-T-H-A-L
and you get
throb
broth
bloat
...
...
breath
bother
BROTHEL

To poeticize
forming a "subset"
—let me say—
one thing to another
does segue

That
BETROTHAL
segues into
BROTHEL
makes the mind
Wiggle and Woggle
which might name
two employees of
such an establishment
😋😋😋

  1. You write pages about nuns, followed by pages about brothels.
    !!!
I seriously think you need to see a therapist.

    1. I am seeing a therapist who is providing me
with a lifeboat to survive the turbulent seas
of existence and his name is
      Dr. Raft

  2. I am Dr. Raft and, at this time, all I will say
to Patient Oliverio is the following:
This page is wonderfully typical of you bizarre humor
but it comes to a troubling sudden end.

    2. YES we can—and must—but my hourly rate
      will be doubled.

    3. I may have to get real sponsors for this blog
      but your psychoanalysis—at any cost—
      will be worth every penny
