Perspicacious Prologue From ELLA FITZGERALD Songbook

________________________________________________________________________________________________

As Dorothy Parker said
to the boyfriend
"Fare Thee Well"

As Colombus announced
when he knew
he was bounced
"It was swell, Isabel, swell"
As Juliet cried
in  Romeo's ear
"Romeo, why not
face the fact,
my dear"

It was just one of those things

  1. Her prologue for Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered
is even better (and more likely to be banned).

  2. I tend to agree with you but comparing her prologues
    are like comparing different colors
    of a Rolls Royce Corniche.

The entire song Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered
    is—besides being incredibly funny—
    "worthy" of being banned

By the way, what is your name?
