Syllables
can be bullish
sad or silly
tilted or stilted
simple or profound
up in the air
or underground
As long as the sounds
they make
sing along with
the other syllables
in harmony
or rhythm
As long as they make
the feet tap a beat
or the the eyes surmise
when the mind does find
the stitches
that bewitches
and holds
the syllables
together
You get music,
poetry, story
shame or glory:
Sisters and brothers
in the kingdom
of words
Or they can bore you
to death
if they have no breath
between them
and you get
stagnation:
Syllables on
a fatal vacation
if they are without
punctuation
