I May Risk Losing My Court Case For This But ...

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Before anyone accuses me of VOODOO ...

Someone who died on February 21st

is listed on an Obituary Page for February 20th.

When a father has taken his 11-year-old son

to a 1960 World Series game but

—years later—the latter

wrote the following poem:

If forgetting were an art

I'd be Van Gogh

and forget where

my ear was

and cut off my toe

The two of us attended nearly a dozen games

at Yankee Stadium and I have blogged

the beJesus out of most of them:

ALL of those games

were prior to 1971

when the boy became

an adult orphan!

Since that time,

I may have claimed to have attended

the 7th Game of the 1960 World Series

That is an utter impossibility

because BILL MAZEROSKI

of the Pittsburgh Pirates

could never have hit

the only Walk-Off Home Run

in the history of professional sports

in the United States of America

He proceeded to do exactly that

but in Pittsburgh

—Not the Bronx—

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
