but the church music
leaves me cold
with constant reminders
of
eternal damnation
To give me
a sense of tranquility,
I prefer this chant
without any desire
to share the beliefs
of the chanters
is a liquor store
from which
I have never purchased
an ounce of alcohol
BUT
I deposit money
in the tip cup
just to
hear the chant
