.................................... Art Isn't A Poem, It's $ ....................................

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Picasso or Pollack
set out to seek
a currency
new and unknown

a great scarf to mount
on unsuspecting walls
owned by seekers
of something
of value

CEOs of corporate art
hidden walls hung
with stuff.

When the camera had no name
a talent was forced out of the hand
of artists with names that sang
of circles.

But the camera made it
superfluous to say, here it is,
put it where you want it

so we will see what we think
you cannot.

Perhaps the artist,
perhaps not,
wins the windfall.

No matter,
the middleman will.

Mrs. Oliverio
