I took a look at eternity
and saw everyone
I ever loved and kissed
or hated or ignored

High-fiving everyone
of them
(and vice versa)
toasting each 
with champagne
or chocolate pudding

Some of them 
sat on the floor
laughing at the lions
outside the door

    The songs of BRUCE COCKBURN are known and loved
    throughout Canada but that should be true about
    the entire continent and everywhere else.
