It began as the GODFATHER OF MATH, evolved into the GOODFATHER OF MATH. Now this. Go figure...

The kind of humor I like is the thing that makes me laugh for five seconds and think for ten minutes = G. CARLIN...Stain glass, engraved glass, frosted glass
–give me plain glass = JOHN FOWLES ... Music is the mathematics of the gods=PYTHAGORAS ... Nothing is more fluid than language = R. L. SWIHART
I cannot live without the oxygen of laughter = DAWN POWELL ... !!! ... But laughter cannot survive without the hydrogen of gravitas = PAUL OLIVERIO

Another Excerpted Prayer (w/ Addendum And Three Examples)

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Mathemagically Speaking, that is.

I believe in ONE...
Maker of Heaven and Earth
And of all things [numerical]
Visible and Invisible

Therefore,
I believe in the
INVISIBLE ONE
a/k/a  INVISIBLE 1

Now let me count the ways
using both Q's  and A's
with basic arithmetic
word play

1Q:
The number 7 is a fraction,
what is the denominator?

1A:
The number is the same as 7/1
where 1 is the invisible denominator
*****

2Q:
If the term  5x  has a coefficient of  5
and the term  -13x has a coefficient of  -13
Then what is the co-efficient of  x?

2A:

The term x is the same as 1x
where 1 is the invisible co-efficient
*****

3Q:

If the term  10 to the third power
has an exponent of  3
and the term  10 to the second power
has an exponent of  2
then what is true about
the single solitary number 10?

3A:
The number  10
has an invisible exponent = 1

to wit:

Footnotes
The first image is from  here.

The second image is from  there.

From the Lewis Carroll Bible of Oliverio-isms:
Invisible is the most important word
that is invisible to the vocabulary
of math teachers.

From the book of Inverted Pythagorean Quotes:
Mathematics is the music of the Gods.

If anyone is interested in making a math teacher
lose his invisibility, please contact this website.

Thank you for reading all of the above.

Mrs. CarPeo should be grateful that
at the Virginia Math Convention where
I extolled the virtues of the "Invisible 1"
I did not get to know personally any
of the ten very attractive women
who were in the audience and
wished I had done otherwise.
