Quoting The Alleged Poet Laureate Of The Long Beach Jetty

________________________________________________________________________________________________

People who take literature seriously
like to debate how many types of stories there are:
seven or seventeen or thirty-six or whatever.

I say there is only one:
All stories are Love Stories.

Love lost, love found, love conflicted...
Either for another human or something inanimate–
usually money or power–
or the exact opposite of love.
