Footnotes
Amongst uncountably many others, this page
was inspired by Mr. CarPeo's smarter half.
It is impossible for a page of such finite space
to do justice to an oil painting in three panels
that measures, approximately, 7' x 13'
Therefore, I provide this text/video link.

When I visited the Prado years ago,
ReplyDeletethere was a tight-lipped British docent.
Understandably, she talked at length about
The Garden of Earthly Delights.
Then a young Spaniard said–heavily accented–
said "It is trippy."
"Not trippy," exclaimed the docent,
"I said it is a tryptich."
