It began as the GODFATHER OF MATH, evolved into the GOODFATHER OF MATH. Now this. Go figure...

The kind of humor I like is the thing that makes me laugh for five seconds and think for ten minutes = G. CARLIN...Stain glass, engraved glass, frosted glass
–give me plain glass = JOHN FOWLES ... Music is the mathematics of the gods=PYTHAGORAS ... Nothing is more fluid than language = R. L. SWIHART
I cannot live without the oxygen of laughter = DAWN POWELL ... !!! ... But laughter cannot survive without the hydrogen of gravitas = PAUL OLIVERIO

A Poem Inspired By A Quote From ZELDA FITZGERALD

________________________________________________________________________________________________

There is GOD
and there are many gods

There is MAN
and there are many men

There is WOMAN
and there is very many
of what
I don't know what
to call them

The next GoFather/Fitzgerald
page is  here

The third and fourth lines
paraphrase the words
of Zelda.
Unfortunately,
I cannot find
the original source
but what she said was
When the Man
is not there,
there is always
men

    1. As far as attribution of quotes
      is concerned, Dorothy Parker
      is the female equivalent
      of YOGI BERRA

As far as Zelda is concerned,
I am ashamed of the fact
that a fellow Long beach resident
      —age thirty-something—
      claims to have coigned
      the term SCANDALABRA
which in fact was a theatrical play
      written by Zelda and performed
      only once in her lifetime,
      while she was institutionalized
      in the sanatorium where
      she burned to death
      in 1948
