In 2005, I worked for
a tutoring service
that mandated the first session
begin with a thirty-minute
practice SAT test
I had a student in
Palos Verdes
and used part of that
testing period to
photographically survey
the neighborhood
The best of the photographs
proved to be a golf course,
Never before
—and never since—
did I utter the words

How did that student fare on the SAT?

Deleteunless you owned Kaplan Tutoring Services.
The student went through 4 tutors
(and 4 semesters) before he was accepted to
the University of DaddysGot BigBux.
However, this was a fairly common practice
when a company paid their tutors
$15 an hour
