I am not
the newest Negro
in Long Beach
BUT 

 
 
I have
hundreds of
brothers + sisters
of 
all races 
and creeds  
who smoke
cigarettes
in public
–without shame– 
 
If
that "cigaret"
gives off
marajuana vapors,
the smoker is
no friend of mine
+
I rattle off 
a fistful of prayers
hoping
their next car accident
will not
prove fatal

    including Dixie Peach,
    a product I used back in high school,
    inspiring my mostly caucasian classmates
