As a kid, Jason Kipnis had dreamed
about slugging a World Series home run
at Wrigley Field.
Sometimes he acted out the situation
with a Wiffle ball.
Sometimes, it was a softball.
Other times, an acorn.
His dad would pitch and his mom
would sit in a chair
and cheer him on.
He never imagined, though,
that he would hit a momentous home run
to silence his hometown crowd.
