And every hour on the hour,
people were permitted to
photograph us.
Lots of people:
all of whom were obligated
to use flash photography.
The intensity of
the flash lighting
started to melt
the building.
Then I awoke,
very relieved.
Carol, I said,
Look at those people
in that building.
That is not us
inside the hourglass.
She immediately
went back to sleep
while I boiled an egg
using a three-minute timer.
