I took this photograph
of Mrs. CarPeo moments before
going to church
In my presence,
she never turned
so many heads
Some turned so fast,
the church masseuse
had to give
emergency massages
The body of
one of those heads,
followed us
to the car
after mass
I impulsively
punched the man
and knocked him out
I was ushered into
the emergency Confessional
and became truly penitent
for my sin

What happened to the man you knocked out?
ReplyDeleteIt turned out he was only momentarily stunned.
DeleteI apologized to him (and vice versa).
He was also ushered into the Emergency Confessional.
This happened at St. Mary's Church in Katonah, NY
The year was 2015 and the gentleman and
the punchy photographer have been
pen pals since Mrs. CarPeo
moved to California
the following year
