I am a Long Beach reference librarian who is indebted to Blog-o-verio

Uninsultingly, he called her a "creep" for her amazing ability
to creep into the psyche of her characters in a deeper, darker,
and humorous depth much more than classic
American authors such as Philip Roth, Saul Bellow
and Flannery O'Conner.
