–give me plain glass = JOHN FOWLES ... Music is the mathematics of the gods=PYTHAGORAS ... Nothing is more fluid than language = R. L. SWIHART
I cannot live without the oxygen of laughter = DAWN POWELL ... !!! ... But laughter cannot survive without the hydrogen of gravitas = PAUL OLIVERIO

Always, Always ... I Repeat Always ... I Can Return To the Dawn

________________________________________________________________________________________________

The rich need poor relations and poor friends
more than the poor need the rich.

The rich need poor old Cousin Betty
to be glad of a home
so she can be stuck on the farm
looking after the balmy progeny
or the dogs.

They need wastrel gambling nephew
for the same reason—
they need poor second cousins
to send their old clothes to,
or their mistakes in shopping,
so they don't feel extravagant.
