"Godfathers" move in very different circles and I was genuinely unaware that the "Godfather of Sudoku" passed away four years ago.
I believe I saw him years ago at a high-brow "Creative Math" conference sponsored by the Los Angeles Times but he was shouting so loudly in Japanese, I simply returned to my own booth
