Three Shots in Thirty-Seven Seconds
In October,
My 2004 Honda
traveled 3000 miles
in less than 85 hours.
I was returning
from New York
to Long Beach.

the same vehicle
has been driven
no further than
three miles from
home to Starbucks.
The journey always

wherever it is seen
while my co-pilot
is soundly asleep
on the opposite
coast, dreaming
about California.
The yellow lines
are the same on
both coasts.
