      Probably WHITE ALBUM or SLOUCHING TOWARD BETHLEHEM.

      I've read a dozen of her books
      and enjoyed, and was enlightened by,
      every one of them.

      But these two essay collections are timeless.
      I could pick up either one at any time
      and be as enthralled as I first was,
      thirty or forty years ago
