ALOBP = A Long Overdue Beatles Page

When the Beatles sang
they offered the world
a fairy-tale solution
to all its problems
with a beat you can
dance to

But consider 
some of the lyrics:
Nothing you can do
that can't be done
 
Nothing you can make
that can't be made
...
 
These are very condescending lyrics
and they should be
because 
—in the world of music—
the Beatles are Godheads
and if they sang these lyrics
as if the listeners
were their equals,
we'd all think 
we were Gods
and the resulting
pandemonium and insanity
would be beyond measure
