    As beautiful as this image is, the sky does look
    strangely ominous and foreboding.

      Ominous and foreboding in advance of 48 hours
      of wet Hell in Long Beach. However...
      I no longer believe the obvious cliche:
      Everything happens for a reason.
      I truly believe
      Everything happens for TWO reasons.

      The upside of this rainstorm is that
      my sister telephoned her concern
      about the weather and we spoke
      for forty-five minutes during which
      I re-awakened her forgotten memory
      that our Father had worked at private parties
      for Eleanor Roosevelt and Howard Cosell,
      amongst other luminaries
