Because
I am brain-dead
when attempting
to follow
a cable TV company's
simple instructions
to improve services,
a Spectrum technician
will be here
at noon
to install a
very special device
It will significantly improve
our television options
from what we
presently have
:::
Since I best understand
things in code:
this improvement
will be parallel to
converting from
picking your nose
to
dancing with
Beyonce
:::
We were told
that this conversion
would involve
a $45 installation fee
BUT
—face-to-face—
with a representative
at the downtown
Long Beach
Spectrum Studio
changed things:
One quick wink
from Oliverio
(and a flashing
of his new dentures)
inspired a high-five
from their rep
and a waiver
of the fee
:::
My understanding
of "streaming"
is that
all I will have to do
is wiggle my nose
and the ghost of
will personally appear
in our living room,
serving Hors d'oeuvres
Simultaneously
our TV
will alternate scenes
of
with scenes
of
or
clips of
Sidney Portier
from
+
or
whateva
The only problem I foresee
is when the actress
portraying Samantha
(Elizabeth Montgomery)
(in ghost form)
is in the same room
with Mrs. CarPeo:
Only one
of those two women
wrote a Bewitched script with
students
and I love
this woman
madly
However,
it is not
my smarter half
who might very well
be reading this page
while holding a switchblade
that has my name on it

That Sidney Portier is mentioned here
ReplyDeleteinvolves more than his being
one of the greatest actors
of all time.
In the two of his films listed above,
he accomplished a rare feat:
In BLACKBOARD JUNGLE,
he is just another punk student
in a school overflowing with them
BUT... in TO SIR WITH LOVE,
he portrays a teacher more beloved
than any other, in a classroom
that has no shortage of punks.
He is not the only actor
to masterfully portray 180-opposites
in a pair of films but my having allegedly been
a teacher...Portier's duality
strikes a very deep personal note
