Bertrand Russell,
Pope John Paul II,

 celebrate their birthdays
—dead or alive—
 
I know this to be true
because I patented 
"The May 18th Birthday Society"
(with help from Tina Fey)    
 
However, 
if 
I were a betting man,
I'd bet $100
that LITTLE
or nothing
will be done
to honor
the civil rights' rebel
whose birth name is
"Malcolm Little"
 
This 
is 
definitely not true
for May 19, 2027
when Spike Lee
will present 
a new documentary
on Malcolm
if and only if
Spike 
is 
not too busy
preparing

      I do not lie to anyone who reads these pages.

      However, there is a compelling need to entertain them

      Just for the record, AT LEAST five of our neighbors
      in stoned-white Whitestone had kissed Negroes
      prior to Civil Rights legislation

      In Rocky Point, by the time our "dime-a-dance" fee
      for clubhouse events advanced to "two bits to boogie",
      the dancers were 25% black
      and all of us had nothing but
      funky fun each week
