A Recent Discovery By The Institute Of Inane Research

the Cole Porter School of Music History,
lyrics from  a 1930-ish folk song 
have been discovered
but they are incomplete
and the Institute requests 
YOU or anyone you know
complete them:
 
 
He was only a dot in her roll book
until he fixed her flat tire
after serving detention
in her classroom
 
Gym shorts and long division
led him to that fateful decision
now all he gets is derision
from my friends
