It began as the GODFATHER OF MATH, evolved into the GOODFATHER OF MATH. Now this. Go figure...

The Funeral Parlor ... A Poem By The Inimitable Hooda Helami

________________________________________________________________________________________________

She grieves when grief
is on the dance card

She cries on cue
when the deceased
is in view

Preparing her exit
with midnight thoughts
about whose pants
will adorn
her bedpost

The deceased
would have thought
the same thing
if she was on view
***

Nothing draped
the bedpost
that night

She dreamt about
finding
a deceased t-shirt
under her pillow
***

  1. Hooda Helami ... is a question I've asked myself many times.

    1. We all need to ask that question.
      The problems begin when you
      have no hell-ish idea
      what the answer is
