    August is Under The Stars month on TCM.
    My boyfriend is all excited about today being
    MYRNA LOY movies non-stop.
    He insisted on sleeping with the TV on
    and secretly hopes to awaken in bed
    with MYRNA LOY.

    So if he calls me "Nora Charles"
    I will call him "Nick Charles"

    I believe the Hollywood male equivalent
    of Myrna Loy is Spencer Tracey
    because both actors bring out the best
    of everyone else on the screen

    August Under the Stars is a great cinematic experience.
    Sidney Portier was featured earlier this month
    and it was most compelling
    BUT
    I wish they had shown Blackboard Jungle
    and To Sir With Love back-to-back

      I agree:
      Those two movies are so wonderfully complementary
      with Sidney portraying a classroom punk in the former
      and the classroom teacher in the latter.

      Mr. Portier is utterly convincing in both films
      with one set in Harlem and the other
      set in England
