The person
who photographed
this 1959 image from
simultaneously
shot 3 more images
of a very serious
swimmer
_____________
________
In one of them,
Lynda Oliverio
looks like
the angriest person
in the world
when anger
was the furthest thing
from her mind:
It was the intensity
of her love
for
swimming
AND
it is
the image
that has influenced
my life
more than
any other
photograph
ever taken
_____________
________
I cannot say
another word
about this
because
it would put
my tear ducts
into overdrive
