It began as the GODFATHER OF MATH, evolved into the GOODFATHER OF MATH. Now this. Go figure...

I Am Just Asking Questions ... But Without Images Or Hyperlinks

________________________________________________________________________________________________

One of our Presidential candidates
has just been investigated
by the FBI for criminal behavior.

The other major candidate is Donald Trump.

An alternative candidate wants to
legalize marajuana on a federal level.

Is the United States' electorate
on a suicide mission?

Is Osama Bin Laden
laughing in his grave?

Mr. Trump gets an honorable mention
on the  next page.

This Is Not...This Is (TIN/TI #28)

________________________________________________________________________________________________

  ⬆⬆
Quite obviously
THIS IS NOT
Paul Oliverio

Quite obviously*
THIS IS
Paul Oliverio
 ⬇⬇

The Subject of the 2nd image
is not worth further discussion.

The Subject of the 1st image
is–undeniably–
 YVES KLEIN

He is a 20th century
French artist who–
fifty years ago–
was as popular in Paris
as Andy Warhol was
in the United States.

Here are some samples
of Mr. Klein's art:

Both images are from  here.

More Yves Klein images from
the Restany book can be
found  there.

But a closer look
at the book cover
reveals another name:

As for the asterisk above
(Quite Obviously*)

The woman
who photographed me
on  July 4, 2016
is the same woman
who designed
the Klein book jacket
in  1982.

But the book cover image
at the very top of this page
is a "reworked version
of the jacket designed by"
C. Robson.

Here is her original jacket design"

What F. Scott Fitzgerald Said About The Girl Worth Having

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Why don’t you tell me that
“if the girl had been worth having,
she’d have waited for you”?

No, sir, the girl worth having
won’t wait for anybody.

The quote is from
THIS SIDE OF PARADISE
(1920)

The next Fitzgerald page is  here.

Bavaria Is In An Area Of Amoral And Sig Heil Priorities

________________________________________________________________________________________________

The revelation that
Bavaria re-sold looted artworks to Nazi families
while giving victims and their heirs
the run-around for years has clearly touched
a nerve at the Bavarian State Paintings Collection
(the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen, or BSGS).

Days after [a German newspaper] exposed that
the Commission for Looted Art in Europe (CLAE)
had given the lie to years of deception by the BSGS,
the BSGS issued a long, rambling, and defensive
statement in defense of its actions.

The statement is a classic case of misdirection.

What I Learned On The Saddest Night Of Andy Kaufman's Life

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Bruno Sammartino, not Buddy Rogers,
was my wrestling hero.

May 29, 1964 was eleven days
after my 14th birthday.

As a bonus, belated gift,
my parents got me 2 tickets
to take a friend
to Madison Square Garden
for this Championship Match.

I cheered maddeningly when Bruno Sammartino
applied a back-breakingly hold
on Buddy Rogers to win the title
in  forty-eight seconds.

What I learned on the
"saddest night of Andy Kaufman's life"
occurred in a taxi when we left the Garden
to meet my father at Rockefeller Center.

The fare was 95¢ and I handed the cabbie $1

When I told him to "keep the change,"
he handed me a nickel and said
"You probably need this
more than I do."

[In 1964, almost all cabbies spoke English]

Despite the sarcasm in his voice,
I said "Thank you, sir"
but learned that tipping
only five percent is like
not tipping at all.

PS
I didn't know it in 1964
but today I believe
Andy Kaufman
was a genius
of mystery
and comedy.

The Doublicity Of The Frauleins Of Frankfurt

................................................. WWJD .................................................

________________________________________________________________________________________________

The popular acronym stitched on
neck straps and arm bands stands for
What Would Jesus Do?

By modern  standards,
the answer is simple:
Copyright His name
and collect the royalties.

He'd have enough money
to make Bill Gates look like
a window washer.
