when i wanted to see
what my future would be
i did not have the eyes
to see
so i borrowed someone else's
to view what
health and wealth is
nothing was mine
it was all his
there were no furs
they were all hers
then i went to the vision store
where i had never been
before
and they gave me
a new pair of eyes
but i did not like
the size
i got a blindfold
like the wise
man who used a lantern
but it did burn
like a scalding urn
and, in truth,
it burned my finger
so i became a gunslinger
which was not
a smart choice
though it gave me a voice
to speak out for
those who are blind
but out of their mind
yet people are now kind
and life is
looking up
since they gave me
a gold-plated
tin cup
if you now click
on the link
just think
—it won't hurt—
to tolerate the
five-second deletable
advert
