Falling maddeningly in love with a TV character has the silly result of seeing the actor in any other TV or film role. The earthquake magnitude of Detective Frank Pembleton caused such fallout HOWEVER...Braugher's character in Men Of A Certain Age was the antithesis of Frank Pembleton and all the fallout from the other Braugher came back to earth and loved the short-runned cable series created by Ray Romano.
Everything in your comment is very accurate, thank you. The "Falling maddeningly in love with a TV character" Syndrome is sometimes referred to as Freeze-Framing
