(1899-1984)
"The Eye of Paris" 

Born in 1899,  Gyula Halász 
adopted the name 
of his birthplace: 
Brasso in Transylvania
(now Brașov, in Romania).

His father was a professor
of French Literature
at the Sorbonne.

It has been said 
that  the first image 
on this page inspired 
Alfred Hitchcock
to make movies!
