Re-Formatted Text Message Worthy Of Print Before Election Day

It's a beautiful day. 
 
I was feeling anxious 
and a little depressed 
about the election 
coming up. 
 
First of all
 l didn't do my job 
as a woke pinko commie.  
 
Didn't figure out a way 
to vote 500 times 
or groom enough kids 
to be transgender. 
 
So it's on me 
if a buncha people 
that l perceive to be 
hypocritical, scam artist, 
religious nut, election liars 
win. 
 
Sure, it'll be grating. 
But it'll still be a beautiful day. 
 
And in a couple of years- 
Trump will be back 
to make America grate even more. 
 
 
So it's all good. 
It's a beautiful day. 
And I'm so old.
 Death could intervene 
at any moment.

      How could anybody not appreciate
      McCarthy's music?
      I am privileged to have known it since
      the 5th grade when he would play guitar
      on the stoop outside his family home.

      I would walk by in absolute awe
      but said nothing. Thankfully,
      we became friends four years later
      and presently communicate
      at least twice weekly
