It began as the GODFATHER OF MATH, evolved into the GOODFATHER OF MATH. Now this. Go figure...

An African Iris Speaks To The Human Race

________________________________________________________________________________________________

If you feel a need
to go to war
you can be sure
all the flowers
in the field
to death
they will yield

Myself included:
I can't be deluded

Why do you
go to war?

Well...
This iris will tell 'ya
its your troubled
genitalia

Needing to penetrate
the enemy
and stain
the deep blue sea

Needing to proclaim
victory
where peace
should be

Needing to boast
that all else
is toast

Needing to hate
is just inability
to communicate

Needing to bomb
—and to bomb well—
this heaven on earth
is what you make hell

But the following
must be read:

Sweep the hate
in your head
with a broom

Sweep it into
a lockable room
(flavored with cumin)
allowing every human
and all flowers
to blossom
and bloom
🌼 🌼

  1. This potent poem is actually "wishful thinking," something
you previously referred to as a synonym for "prayer."

    1. Having an African Iris talk directly to the human race
      is, indeed, "wishful thinking"

  2. all the flowers are talking...they never stopped...or trees, or grass...happens that we are distracted and have stopped listening.
    kudos, Paul
