    I will never forget driving on the Will Rogers Turnpike in Oklahoma
    because that "comfort station" served the best French Fries I've ever eaten
    but they were called Cherokee Chips in honor of his DNA.

      Of the six "comfort stations" I stopped at during a 3200 mile journey,
      this one was—by far—the cleanest but I didn't eat anything there
      because I was still dieting on Cliff Bars and Yoplait Yogurt
      and McDonald's coffee.
      By the time I got to Mrs. CarPeo's house in Westchester County,
      I had lost ten pounds but—one month later—
      I was five pounds heavier than I was
