and the future

looked back 

at me

She said

"Two boats at sea."

One has an outboard motor.

The other is a row boat

with one oar."

"Anyone on board?"

"Three aboard the first boat

and two on the second."

"Recognize anyone?"

"Yes I do.

They all look like me."

"All the same age?"

"No. All are different ages."

"In the simplest language,

tell me how different?"

 

"I am very young

in the motor boat

and old in the row boat."

 

"I've got to go, Hooda.

Take what you see

and do whatever

you want with it."
