all appears as if torched
and the earth
has been scorched
All homes but one
reduced to dust
However,
in irony we trust:
Oliverio fictionally
burnt that house
to dust
But truth is
within reach
and all you see
leads to
Everyday
in Paul's heart and soul
there is a hole
only to be filled
and thrilled
by a return
—despite brain burn—
to that beach
With memory's gymnastics
it is within reach

ReplyDeleteall of these pages but what I want to know is
how you "fictionally" burnt that house .
The one and only class I ever took at
DeleteThe New School Of Social Research
was "Creative Writing" and that inspired
the burning down of that house
which, in fact, belonged to a most under-rated artist
named PAUL ENGLAND.
We actually became good friends
with me attending parties at his house
and inviting him to neighbor's parties.
Sometimes, just the two of us
hung out on his deck
with a spectacular view
resembling the given image
