It began as the GODFATHER OF MATH, evolved into the GOODFATHER OF MATH. Now this. Go figure...

When Mrs. CarPeo Said NO To Queen Elizabeth's Family ...

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Two recent pages
featured Mrs. CarPeo's
colleagues from Abrams Books
with my better half
sort of standing
on the sideline

BUT
Mrs. CarPeo just told me
a story about her
reaction to a Royal nephew
of England's Queen:

"The head of publicity
asked me
to do calligraphy
for seating arrangements
at a very plush dinner
for the Royal Nephew/author
in New York.

"I was overwhelmed with
projects at the time
so I said NO.

 "But a stunned book editor
reacted as if I had said NO
to the kingdom of heaven.

"The Royal Nephew
is
and his 1996 book
was entitled
Extraordinary Furniture."

  1. This is Michael, again.
Because I am an intern at Brentano's,
I am fascinated by all things related to publishing "Art Books"
and the question I have for Mrs. CarPeo is this:

Does she NOW regret having said No
to working on a book authored by British Royalty?

    1. Yes, Mrs. CarPeo now regrets having said No
to working on book written by British Royalty
but there is not a mature adult anywhere on this planet
without regrets about at least one instance
      of using the word NO
